The travelling circus: stadia discussion

Bizarre concept, isn’t it?

Thing is that it would come down to money and exposure. The stadiums are going to be making significantly more money from a concert than they would a game of football. 20 concerts a year dwarfs the number of home games that Sydney FC will play. We never had a leg to stand on. We can complain all we want, but they know that the club has no alternative.

Time to snuggle up to Darcy Byrne and make Leichhardt Oval, the eighth wonder of the world ours.

People worries about transport; the club should buy a fleet of buses that do shuttle runs between Central and the Ground. You can All over Advertise the buses, with sponsorships and/or promotional information about Sydney FC. We can make it the Express 828;

Get the approval for this stadium.

Get food trucks in on matchday to park in the carpark across the road, or on Leichhardt Oval #2 behind the ground and turn that field into an entertainment precinct pre-game.

Partner up with small breweries from the Inner West to have pop up bars outside the stadium and in the stadium. No more Justin fucking Hemmes, the Cunt and paying ridiculous amounts of money for a bang average burger and chips.

If the residents along Mary Street have an issue, they can get a fucking tissue.

Pfft, that’s what ES Marks Athletic’s for.

I think you’ll find Henson Park is already the 8th wonder of the world.

I can’t believe there are Sydney FC fans online suggesting we move back to Jubilee or Leichhardt Oval. People have forgotten so quickly just how much people hated being there by the end.

Leichhardt Oval is a crumbling piece of shit. Jubilee is a suburban park with one grandstand. Anyone suggesting a move to either of these venues should be hanged for treason.

Ok……Parra it is then!

Football NSW have finally got their way, 20 years later.

He might be, but Leichhardt Oval is a festering shit hole that panders to some ridiculous nostalgia in Sydney’s mindset that enjoys standing on a muddy hill in a shit location with fucking shit facilities.

It should have been bulldozed decades ago.

The next time I have to go there will be too soon.

First time I went there, my mates and I had the misfortune of eating one of the hotdogs from the venders out on the street. All of us shat for days. The best part of it was being able to walk across the bridge to my brother’s house

The grandstand seats were also clearly made when society was healthier. New stadiums need the wide ass seat, more room

Look, if you want to go watch sport at a shitty stadium in a shitty location, go for it. Go watch NRL or Jim Beam Cup or state league football.

Don’t drag a national league down to your low standards.

Pretty sure our national league is way below any of our standards here

Can’t argue for cupholders with a muddy bum.

Just dig a small hole for your beer to sit in. Infinite cup holders
