The TV Show Thread

Into an enemy with no chance of breaking because they’re magical zombies, no less.

HOTD has been great though. Every scene Simon Strong was in this season was the funniest scene on television.

Halfway through Generation Kill. A show I’ve been wanting to watch for a while.

An excellent show in the realities, and horrors of war.

The book written by the LT, Nathaniel Fick “one bullet away” is fantastic reading. He’s got an English degree, so his writing style is superb.

I’m just a teenage dirtbag baby

Started watching Rogue Heros on SBS. A really good show on the formation of the SAS during the North African campIgn in WWII.

Can already tell this is going to suck.

Her face is so punchable, and it’s just a picture.

Guy Montgomery’s Guy Montspelling Bee on the ABC is incredible. It’s the most chaotic spelling bee you could imagine with a consistently strong cast of comedians. It’s probably the strongest panel comedy show I’ve seen in a while. I saw the live version at a previous comedy festival and it retains the energy of that sort of more intimate live show on the stage.

Have been watching this. It’s amazing. Not sure how long the schtick will hold on for but the first few were great.

The helmet… ha ha

The Office is such an unnecessary concept for TV out here.

We invented the mockumentary series format, and already have a bunch of shows that do it better than The Office.

My argument is that The Office has already been done. Very well by the English, and (surprisingly) perfected by America.

I know that’s a little on the nose for some, but I preferred the U.S. Office over the UK version. Ricky Gervais is very hit and miss for me. Some of his stuff his hilarious, other stuff is meh.

We’ve already got a few ‘Office’ style sitcoms/mockumentarys. Utopia is an underrated show.

Utopia has won a few awards for an ‘underrated’ show hasn’t it?. It’s always been good

It can be a little formulaic, storylines are all rather samey, but it’s still brilliant and will shit all over the Oz Office from Felix Baumgartner heights.

That’s what I mean, we invented and perfected the concept and similar.

Frontline
The Games (the show Gervais ripped off when he made The Office)
The Hollowmen
Utopia

Take your pick

So just get the working dog crew some money to put out another classic. Perhaps social services grappling with an out of control AI chatbot, the trials and tribulations of our domestic aviation industry, or a skewering of our financial services industry

Still so watchable. An absolute classic.

I mean the fact that WDP didn’t get the rights to do the Office is silly.

They would fucking nail it.

I wish half of the skits on The Late Show would become spin offs of their own TV show.

Graham and the Colonel not commentating the Olympics was a missed opportunity.

Well, we did have our own forum based Rob Sitch impersonating Bruce Mcaveney
