Nasty. It wasn’t even the end of winter when you posted that.

Got to 36 today.
Looking at 34 tomorrow.
Tuesday drops off to low 20’s. Weekend is hot again.
In fairness last year was very similar at this stage. We thought we were going to have a massive bushfire season but it rained consistently from October - March.
WA has been weird, rain almost every day in August, twice the amount of rain as last year for the month.
Forecast is supposed to be back to dry weather again soon, hopefully we’ve had enough rain to last summer
Bit windy aye…
Couple of fires have been springing up as well, pretty early into the season.
Pretty bad grass fire near mine last week sprung up out of nothing. They’ve just contained a bushfire on the Princess Hwy as well.
I hope I’m over reacting, but I’m getting 2019-20 vibes. With how lush and wet the last few seasons have been, it could potentially be a bad fire season.
We’re starting to get bad fire seasons every 5-7 years now in similar areas. So its just about time for another bad one. Hopefully I won’t need a puffer this time.
Fuck this shit.
Some wild weather, flooding, cyclonic winds in Tassie over the past few days. Seems like most of the island has no power as well. Crazy stuff.
This is the spring bushfire outlook for the country, released by AFAC, which is a joint Australia and New Zealand fire and emergency services council.
Looks like normal fire danger levels for spring, but risk of substantially increased levels for summer if the next couple of months are dry.
BOM is predicting above average rainfall for eastern parts of Australia, but warmer than average temperatures.
Once again though, looks like WA will spend most of summer on fire unfortunately…
Bit of bloody wind chill outside at the moment.
4.3c?
Luxury!
