Thanks.
If I do get an other system it will probably be an Xbox one so I can find out what the Halo stans are crying about.

Skip the xbone and get a Series S.
You’ll probably find one for 200 clams on marketplace - theyre an absolute steal. It’ll play all your xbone and a heap of 360 games better.
Plus you can play all the amazing latest Microsoft published games.
Following on from a post on the Serie A thread, I decided to start a new FM save at one of my favourite club names in the football world - Sambenedettese. After looking through my available FM versions, FM19 was the only one that had them as a selectable club, so I’m using that version for my save.
As it turns out, they have a pretty solid team for Serie C level, and I decided to retain most of the original squad and the original loaned players. I added 19-year-old Gianluca Scamacca on loan from Sassuolo, who has proven to be a strong addition up front, fixing my only really weak position. There seems to be a decent amount of depth in most positions, as well. The main weakness in the squad was an abysmal team cohesion and poor dressing room atmosphere at the start of the reign, which has steadily climbed over the first few months.
Currently second on the table after the opening third of the season, with the expectation of reaching the playoffs (top ten, basically). We’re also into the Serie C Cup quarter final, which is not seen as a priority but have used it to rotate the squad a little and give key players a rest. We were knocked out in the second qualifying round of the Italian Cup by Livorno after putting in a creditable performance. Things are looking good so far results-wise! The only thing to fix up is the amount of players contracted to the club, but that will be fixed over the next season or two.
I thought I might try some car racing, so pulled out the old GT5 prologue and have been playing that. Got a copy of GT5 coming for like $7.
Any reccos for a wheel and peddle for a PS3?
Try a Logitech G29. Not ridiculously expensive and it seems to be compatible with PS3.
Update on my Sambenedettese save. I did the Serie C treble in my first season. Won the Serie C/B league by 10 points from Monza. The key moment of the season was only being a few points ahead when having to play Monza away. We were 1-0 down, then one of their players was sent off in the second half. After going into full send mode with a few subs and switching the wingers around so my top scoring winger (and my complete wing back) was on their weak side, we scored three goals in the last 15 minutes to put the title race firmly in our favour.
We won the Serie C Cup by beating FeralpiSalo. Won the first leg of the final 2-0, but just scraped through with a 2-1 loss in the second leg when they threw the kitchen sink at us. Then completed the treble by winning the C Super Cup in the post-season, beating Viterbese and Entella, who were the other Serie C league champions.
The quest begins now to build a competitive squad for the new season. I have a few Serie B-quality players but a lot of similar quality players will have to come in on loan due to financial constraints. I did manage to bring in a quality DM/CM, Francesco Bolzoni, from Bari, on a permanent deal.
The players aren’t so sure the club can stay up this season but I think with some deals, we should manage it pretty easily.
FM2024 for those of us who never bothered to buy it will be free to claim for a week from next weekend on Epic games.
I just started playing FM2020 last week, which I claimed for free from epic games I assume 4 years ago
It’s not the worst shout if you haven’t played an FM for a while. That said, I don’t know if they worked a huge amount on FM24. The Unity-based new FM engine is coming for this year’s edition and they would’ve probably been working double time on that.
As for my Sambenedettese save, most of the (not much) time spent playing since my last message was spent finding new players for the Serie B campaign. I brought in two good center backs on loan (Armini is great in the air, while Angileri is a ball-playing CB), a left back (Filippini, who is honestly not that great but provides competition for my current LB), a central midfielder (Palazzi, who is more of a mezzala/playmaker), a left winger (Piu, who plays as an inside forward) and managed to get Scamacca back on loan, too. I also managed to pick up a squaddie right winger for free (Peralta, who is also an inside forward) to either let me play Russotto on the left, or give him a rest from time to time.
The league results so far? Three 2-1 wins in a row! First one was against promotion contenders Hellas Verona, then against Venezia and Catanzaro. Pretty incredible start to the season. Bolzoni and Scamacca have both scored twice. I still expect to have a form dip and be fighting deep into the mid-table, but nine early points will reduce pressure for now.
We are out of the Italian Cup after an unlucky loss to Cittadella, but the board don’t seem too upset about it.
I picked up a portable gaming Pc and some AR glasses before going on holiday.
I got a ROG Ally (not the latest one) and a viture XR Pro glasses
Any good?
Yes, the experience of them combined is great but it eats battery, I get about 90 mins on ROG battery.
Plugged in, its awesome, the experience is mint and the built in speakers in the glasses is good enough. I’ve been playing a lot of Satisfactory and Hardspace:Shipbreaker on it.
The glasses work with tablets and phones too, I used them extensively on my trip to the UK on the plane, supplementing the battery with USB charge.
Hmm. I’ve got an Ally and will be traveling with it in the new year. Be interested to see what you think over time. Might be worth investing in. Are the speakers in ear? Like usable on a plane?
Not in-ear, definitely hearable by people beside you. I used Sony noise cancelling buds on the plane.
Naturally, this arrived today instead of Friday.
Update on my Sambenedettese save, which is probably at a good time because I doubt I’ll be playing again until next week.
After 14 games (about a third of the season), we’re holding fifth place on 26 points but are only two points off the leaders Bologna and Udinese. I’ve already played them, as well. We had a goalless draw at home to Bologna and only lost to a set piece away to Udinese. Mattia Destro is playing for Bologna and earns more per week than my whole playing squad combined! (Destro’s £48k p/w vs my playing squad’s £41k)
Top scorer is Peralta on six goals, who was meant to be a squaddie wide forward but Russotto got injured, so he started and started running riot.
I’m having to sell a couple of players who are complaining about not playing, which may give me a small amount of needed funds, but we need to keep competing well to ensure we don’t go too far into the red. It doesn’t help that Italian clubs generally need big amounts of players to function at three levels. U20s and U18s generally play on the same day, so little chance of players being able to play both like they sometimes do at the English clubs (at least in FM).
We have new sponsorship deals that need to be signed in about six month. I’m hoping for a big increase about then. If we can keep a top ten spot, that might just happen.
Fm2025 announced they wont allow players to manage international teams. They also wont report player weights due to the fact that theyre including women’s leagues
I assume the weights would just be an invisible attribute. Strange they won’t allow for international management, but maybe such a low percentage of players actually do international management that they decided to can it.
They’re trying to trim some fat off the game. I’m pretty sure they’re getting rid of the social media section and the inbox. I’d personally settle for them getting rid of the mountains of bugs in the game that were still in play for the last FM I bought, which was FM23. I must say, though, I have a lot of anticipation of what they might come up with in this version, with a new game engine. Its a chance for them to start afresh with a number of things.
Dropped international management because only 6% of players use the feature. I find that really hard to believe because I am one of those 6%. Would not be surprised to see the womens game feature have much less than 6%.
I choose to watch the Socceroos instead of playing GT5.
I have the regrets.
I always manage international teams when I get the chance. It’s part of the fun!
Although with all this FM talk, I opened up my old save from FM23 to play and found it hard considering i’m going to get the free FM24 from Epic today… I did manage to take SFC to back to back premierships as well as the Asian Champions League winner, before moving to manage Leeds. Took Leeds from a team struggling to stay up, to a mid table finish in my first season and then qualified for UEFA Cup in my second season. Then got annoyed because I just missed out on managing Liverpool and Poland. Liverpool took Gerrard the bastard…
