I started a new FM24 save last weekend as Australia manager, in the knowledge as announced earlier, you could carry over your 24 save to 25…
Wasted weekend and a few hours during the week i guess… I get why they are doing it and looking forward to 26 then… but grrr.

Do I need the pre-game editor or the real player name stuff?
Any other mods that are essential before I start a game?

Do you have a case or usb hub or something that you use traveling? I have a little dock for it but that would be a bit clumsy to use in transit.
I thought someone would possibly bring out a hard case with a usb hub built into it. Maybe not a big market though I guess.
I bought a soft case from Asus when I bought it and a shell from Temu, I just plug the charger in direct.

How did you register all the players? Is there a way to make someone designated in the game? I found i had to get rid of some of my top players before i could fit under the cap as there was no one designated
Renew lolley’s contract early in pre-season and make him designated to give you room to move.
I had to jettison Rodwell and Redmayne, but given the GK depth from the youth squad I only felt marginally bad about this. Unfortunately this issue came up 6 days out from registration date, so Lolley only agreed to this after the fact.
I signed Joey Chapness on a free after the deadline, so he will play for the youth / npl teams until I can register him again - I assume the transfer window. He is my other designated player at this point, and I’ll get rid of Mak to let me sign a few more squadies.
Basically just getting used to the game having never played it before and I’ll start again in a week or so. Already played like 12 hours and the wife is not impressed

Just got it and having similar issues with squad registration. I gave new scholarship contracts to Wood, Matthew’s, Amanatidis and one or two others which helped. Will try and give Lolley a new DP player contract and see if that helps.
I also picked up Gersbach as well as Osama Malik on frees after Brattan did his ACL in a cup game.
Was the editor free? I was having trouble with the free pre editor which didnt let me change shit.
Cant find a buyer for Rodwell.
I might re-start my game. I ended up giving youngsters full contracts instead of youth or scholarships which made it hard. Severely lacking depth in the midfield, reliant on youth players as part of the full match day squad which means the youth team keep getting smashed in their games.
I just DL the latest transfers update. (as of 7/8/24) Going to start a new game with Sydney. Costa and Mata transfers included.
