I’ve heard on the grapevine that Foz is considering politics.

I’d wager he won’t be joining One Nation.
I’d watch Nerds FC if it came back
Sam and Ed are on channel 10, not sure about Santo. Would be great if they reunited for another crack
Bring back football superstar…
You joke about it, but that kind of content could be on the table. It creates a relatively inexpensive show to fill a time slot while increasing brand recognition and cross promotion opportunities for the A-League.
Half hour weekly show of men getting hit in the groin with a football.
Produced by Hans Moleman
Sure Archie on MasterChef had heart but football in the groin had a football in the groin
Oooooh me plums!
Watched a 10 min video on YouTube recently with Hill and Foster reflecting back on their commentary of that WC playoff in 2005.
Genuinely hope they commentate together again. Would love to see it.
No joke. I love those shows which focus on talented sports people that haven’t had their big break
(TUF, football superstar, last chance U etc)
Ran into Bozza at the shops the other day, asked him if he was going over to Paramount/10. Said he’d love to do both if he was allowed too, but we both had a laugh and agreed that was highly unlikely. He’s still contracted to Fox for some time, but said he would go if he was to be released from his contract. Got the vibe that he kinda feels left behind right now. Nice guy in person I must say. He was genuinely stoked to be talking about the game with a random.
This seems to be the consensus but doesn’t always translate.
Watching the Euro/Copa coverage it’s a fucking shame Optus weren’t interested in the A League…
Really? Its much better than Fox of course but the analysis is very average. Also the highlight/whatever shows are abysmally bad imo.
I was in the Hunter Valley on the weekend (booked well before semi-finals dates were confirmed). We had hoped that we could watch the game in the guest house that we were staying in, but their internet wasn’t working and we had almost zero reception on our phones so we decided we’d head to out somewhere to watch it. I called around a few places and ended up in Cessnock at the leagues club, but they couldn’t show it because they had every channel except 505. Made some more calls and then headed to the Cessnock bowling club who thankfully had it on one of the screens. Missed part of the first half but got there in the end.
This league has a long way to go. Still very interested to know what the plan is for Paramount+ and pubs. It’s so frustrating trying to negotiate the ability to watch the a game in the pub, even a semi-final FFS.
Watching the Optus Euro coverage and this is what Paramount should be aspiring to. Good diversity and intelligent football conversation. More football and less bullshit mate banter.
I can understand it from the pubs’ point of view. The Hunter is hardly a football heartland and I’m sure NRL dominates everything up there.
I’ve had similar issues trying to organise watching football at venues so I just don’t bother anymore, just invite mates over and order pizza. Beer is much cheaper too. Can’t really fault pubs for not putting it on when no one will watch anyway.
