You have to feel for Liverpool. Their keepers love to choke in huge moments.
Same issue we have in the ACL, hard to adjust against a quality opponent when you’re thumping dross domestically every week.

Simeone is a great manager but I couldn’t see him replicating what he’s done at Atletico anywhere else. The guy is Atletico through and through.
Depends where he went. With what he’s achieved on a comparatively small budget (hardly minnows, but against Madrid/Barca…) I’ve thought for years he’s pretty much the best manager in world football.
But he’d probably be hounded out of clubs at the very top echelon of the entitlement pyramid for not playing sexy enough football.
It’s not just the “sexy football” thing though. Accumulating big points totals is hard to do when you are too negative and liable to draw a lot of games.
Also, Cholo could be seen to have blown a golden opportunity this season to with La Liga, with the big two stinking the place out.
But yeah, he’s an admirable coach and character.
