Duke seems like a good bloke and a is a high quality player at this level. We don’t need to wish death on their squad to be better than them.
I think Wests are so low that deep pity and a paternalistic arm around the shoulders, accompanied by sympathetic cooing are an appropriate and emasculating response.

Fuck the idea of Parramatta being our “arch rival”.
Melbourne copping a 6-1 loss in a semi might make them seem a little more pathetic than usual, but they will always be our biggest rivals. The Wanderers are an irrelevance.

Duke cleared of ACL, they’re saying 6-8 weeks out.
I almost wouldn’t mind WSW performing slightly better this year. They’ve been so poor in recent years the rivalry has gone slightly stale. I feel dirty saying that but it might bring a bit of excitement back into the derby if we knew they would actually be a challenge for us.
I am happy to see them be terrible and easily brushed aside forever.
I enjoy when they talk up the whole form doesn’t matter when it comes to derby games.

We may have won all the most recent matches but there were a couple (eg first derby at scg) where we were more than lucky eg with the refereeing.

I don’t think the derby is stale. I love destroying them game after game.
Just remember how smug they all were in their 1st couple of years and all the luck they got. Karma is a bitch.
It still winds me up that the only one they’ve won in about 5 years stopped our GOAT team having the first ever unbeaten season in Australian football, A-League or NSL.
However, it was good fun when more of their mob attended games. I think the fact that they’re back at a proper home ground, and tickets for both sets of fans will be in demand, will bring something back.
