The Australian invasion of the MLS.

What’s the under 22 initiative?

Assume they get cap relief for younger players?

Full explanation in the below link, but from a rudimentary read, Yazbek will probably be on a three year deal and he cannot earn more than $200k per season on an U22 Initiative contract.

It also means the transfer fee they paid doesn’t come into salary cap considerations.

Here’s hoping we had a sell on clause inserted into the deal that took him to Norway.

That seems like such a low yearly salary for him,

It’s $300k per year with the current exchange rate.

Even a 10% profit clause would get us something like AUD$300k, if the transfer fee is to be believed.

He cannot earn more than the Maximum Salary Budget Charge, which is USD683,750.

His salary cap cost is USD200,000.

I read somewhere yesterday, and Indian football guy saying that Retre has been released from his one year remaining contract what ever the club in India it was he was playing for.

I would definitely take him back if the price is right

We need depth at CM and FB. Could definitely do worse if we don’t think the kids we’ve signed (ZdJ, Kamijo, Middleton) are ready for serious ALM game time.
