Sorry I should have stated that a bottle of vodka is the price of a beer in Australia and a beer is a bag of chips in Australia. So $7-8 for a vodka and about $1 for a beer. I actually found a 0.5L can for 50c at one point.

To be fair most of the polish beer I tried was abominable.
what did you try? There’s definitely some nice ones, plus micro breweries are starting to pick up over there. Remembering as well, Polish beer is, in the vast majority, lager. Very different style of beer to the ales we get over here.
