Ouahim released to go to the Middle East so he is closer to his son in Germany.
Seems a fair move for all. Really had a lot of hype for him at the start and thought he’d be one of our key players. Didn’t work out but wish him all the best

Dramatically underrated player here, but I think in terms of squad balance and composition it’s probably not a bad thing for us to free up the foreign slot and presumably a decent chunk of cash.

When Ouahim was on, he was unplayable. But those performances were few and far between and we need much more from that type of player.
Best outcome for all and I’m grateful he accepted a release when he could’ve dug his heels in.

I liked Anas but this move will help us rebuild. Seems like we’re struggling to find a local striker so I guess now we can get a foreign one and a foreign CB too

I suppose not but we haven’t really played with a proper 10 for a while given that Costa is often given free reign to drift inside. Caceres plays a bit too deep to be a pure 10 like a Burgess usually. He likes those runs into the box from deep.
Is Youlley a 10?
I wouldn’t mind bringing in a proper 6 to free up Sena a bit to play a bit more forward but obviously a good CB is the main priority (and a DM would harm minutes for Hollman, Kamijo and Youlley)

If Caceres moves on the solution is simple, Costa at 10 and staying the fuck outta Joe’s way please.

I think both are essential. We really missed a defensive presence in midfield last season. Im hoping we are looking at defensive mids to play alongside Sena and a new CB partner for Alex Grant.

Sad to see him go but fair enough both sides, lost form once Ufuk dropped him for rest and to move Costa as a 10.

Anas could have been fantastic here if the team was sort of based around him. Unfortunately he just seemed like an afterthought really.
I know the modern thing is to play these 10 type AMs wide so they have more room, but he needed to be in the centre of the pitch between the lines rather than pushed wide.

Surely we could have gotten a transfer fee for him. Nominal or not if there’s a club interested in him from the Middle East we should have been asking for something at the bare minimum.
I know he’s been released for family reasons, and it works because it frees up a foreign spot, but we got like half a million for bloody Elvis Kamsoba. Surely the club that’s interested in Anas could have ponied up a few hundred K in Oil money for us.
