Was hoping but not expecting we’d get the Volcanoes. FC is getting a bit too common now with 3 of 11 teams having it.
And as others have said kit is nice, name is fine but logo is terrible.
I think we can just start dropping FC from the commonly used team names and calling them Sydney, Macarthur, Auckland.
That’s usually what I do. Are Macarthur even FC? I know them as the Macarthur Bulls but I usually just call them Macarthur.
Sydney FC is the only one that really has a nice ring to it, I know even some Wanderers fans call us ‘FC’ which is almost nice.
The one that always gets me is Newcastle United Jets. I’m not sure if ‘United’ is actually part of their official name, but it’s there clear as day on their badge…
I guess most clubs in the AL wish to bring their regions/areas under their umbrella.
No surprise AFC is trying to do the same.

I approve of just being “Auckland Football Club” and the league was sorely missing a medium blue wearing side, so good choices, cuzzies.
I thought “electric blue” was like cyan, in the sky blue spectrum.
