Central Coast Stadium rights go to Venues Live, the manager of Parramatta Stadium and Stadium Australia. Council (well, the administrator) chose this over a bid from the club to take on the management rights.

Hope this doesn’t mean memberships will have a $400 joining fee and cost $25 a week and be fucking impossible to get out of.
He has been seen, by some, as the cause of all CCM’s problems. When things were bad and the Club was being run on the cheap, he was an easy target. However the bills were payed.
Many like myself saw him as the person, who, while not wanting or being able to afford the Club totally has kept it going until further investors could be found and he could step back and remain a minority shareholder.
If he had not stepped in, and sent what could have been good money after bad the Club would have gone broke. I doubt FFA would have supported the Club and that it would have been allowed to go the way of Gold Coast and North Qld.
The relationship could be best described as love/hate depending on who you speak to.
I’m pleased that the Mariners have been able to find a new owner. I just hope Richard Peil will put in a load more effort than Charlesworth seemed to for the last 5-6 years. Wasn’t he becoming increasingly scarce and working more out of the UK than here?
Charlesworth has always worked out of the UK with the odd visit here. He has reportedly put in $1m each year for the past 5-6 years to keep the club alive. It has been tough but he has left the club in a good place.

Yes, fallout. Monty was becoming increasingly frustrated on how much he was slowing play down. Monty wants a fast and aggressive style. There is a trigger in his contract that would have gave him another year at $500k if he plays a certain amount of games this season. He is two games away from that and Monty doesn’t see him in next year’s plans at that wage so not playing him. He would rather increase the wage of some of these youngsters and sign players like Talbot. All these decisions seems justified at the moment.
