Bolting from the Blue- The Central Coast Mariners Thread

Totally understandable. He worked well last year as a senior figure who could put his foot on the ball but late on in the season i remember the build up was so one dimensional and turned into just average crosses that were very easily dealt with.

We needed him and Matt Simon - we needed the professionalism, we needed the composure, we needed the desire. And now having kids coming through and taking their spots is actually a sign of the success that they’ve been in this phase - they helped to create an environment where kids see us succeeding rather than desperately fighting off the spoon.

The CumDog has signed a 2 year extension at the Mariners .

Apparently loving it over here. Good to see.

Time to cap him. Imagine him with a full preseason here.

He genuinely improved over the season. Early on he looked like a chicken with his head cut off

I thought he may end up being one of the weaker foreigners in the league last season as he’s played basically French 3rd division most of his career, but he seemed to come good.

Eight goals and a fair number of assists was well above expectations for many, especially afte his early season form.

Sammy Silvera is back. Odd one, but likely cheap, and I fancy Monty and Sergio feel like he’s got enough talent for a punt.

Monty saw him through when he was head of the academy. Arguably the best he ever was.

Mariners upgrade Kuol to a senior contract. Two years. Happy days!

Mariners sign Paul Ayongo on a two year deal

Say, have Sydney signed anyone this off-season?

We got a great deal on puns.

And they threw in some petty squabling for free!

Are you able to point anyone in the direction of a backhoe to deal with excess sand?

I’m not sure you’ll need it here.

Other places yeah. For me this is disappointing about it indicates about our internal mechanisms and, to an extent, Ninkovic’s character. And he’s 37 years old and on the decline. And Rudan is his boss. It could be funny.
