He has been rightfully annihilated on Twitter for this. I don’ think anyone anywhere would believe what he says to be honest on this or even care.

More like the level of slapper at Sirens wasn’t good.
He changes his tune every couple of years. Originally he said the level was way higher than he expected
That moment where he blames the low level of football, yet hasn’t scored a contract anywhere else…
If he is talking about his own level of football… i concur.
Just 2?
Marco Ureña has left the Mariners, returning to Costa Rica.
I thought he was under contract for another season? That’s a big loss for them.
Family reasons, so presumably mutually terminated.
Yes, mutual.
Oh that is terrible news for them
News is not as bad as it appears. Urena was a bench player for a big part of the season. He was the second highest paid player in the club behind Bozanic’s $500k. We are overloaded in the front third. Urena going frees up an import slot and money that can go to a centre back and a goalkeeper.
Probably explains why you signed that Ghanaian player a few weeks ago?
Somehow doubt this would have been dropped on the club. At least he didn’t just “Yeah, thx, bye” the club and the fans via an Instagram account.
This is the guy who wanted to buy the Mariners a few years ago. Club did their due diligence and refused any negotiations with him. SBS were lauding him as the club’s saviour and that it was a done deal.
I had a mate asking me the other week about rumours of the Mariners being bought and moved to Canberra.
Is this the guy he’d have been referring to?
Not him. New owner is from Canberra. Quashed all rumours about moving. Not that it won’t happen though.
Jacob Farrell extends for three years at the Mariners . Sydney went hard for him.
That’s a shame. Now they can go soft again.
Garang off in the January window. Mariners getting something in the seven figure category for him.
Mariners, the little club that really can. From the outside it looks like the decision to bring over Montgomery was a stroke of genius: very good player and leader on the pitch; excellent head of the academy and now very able manager. All power to the Coasties!
Mariners sign Brazilian Marco Tulio:
Marco Tulio > Marco Tilio
