Bolting from the Blue- The Central Coast Mariners Thread

thinking

We need more derbies…

Looking forward to North Sydney Bears FC making an appearance.

We can probably squeeze a team in between Campbelltown and Parra.

You’d have to introduce the Crows Nest Crows so they had a derby opponent…

How about a team further west so that they become the eastern suburbs poshos and watch their tiny brains explode as they try to work through their identity issues again

I’d pay huge bucks to watch an away game at Penrith Whitewater Stadium.

Pre-game tailgate at pondi beach would be great

You can’t put a team in Penrith.

150kms instead of 200kms with the missing 50kms being the worst bit.

I’d switch in a heartbeat.

So they finally open 53………2 hours after I bought in 32 :man_facepalming: Is 32 an active bay?

Noooo. :rage:

I bought in 54 last night as there were only 7 seats total left, took the last 4 that we needed together (was only one other block of 3).

Why the fuck wouldn’t they sell 53 first and leave the corner bay for the latecomers if needed?

Death to Ticketek.

Anyone know who strictly they enforce the ticketing up there? Ridiculous we are all in the corner if the bay next to us is half empty?

Saying that, I don’t want to be the prick who takes someone elses seat (even if they did buy well after others!)

Sydney FC lost one sale that I know of last weekend purely because of Ticketek nonsense.

They refused to allow the sale of a specific seat next to a seat their friend had already purchased (because of the “can’t leave gaps of 1” rule), so the would-be attendee just didn’t bother because they didn’t want to make the trip in just to sit alone elsewhere all game.

Through the entire sale period, they were showing only 2 (at first), then up to 7, and finally 5 seats available in the whole bay. On the day, said bay was barely 50% full. The whole set of 7-8 seats where the “gap of 1” would have been were vacant.

I dare say 53 will be chockas by the time game day rolls around so probably moot.

Was dead set going to ask Shane today what the deal was with 53, but panicked about 11pm and didn’t want to miss out.

Yep, panic set in for me this morning when I saw 54 was full. Now I’m not sure if I should buy in 53 and forfeit the tickets I bought in 32. I’m not keen on sitting in 32 if it’s an active bay given that I’ll have my 75 year old dad with me!

32 will be designated active, but the crazy kids will most likely pile into the front of 31 as per usual.

I dare say there’ll be plenty of spare seats toward the back of 32 where you’ll be able to see the game uninterrupted (shit angle aside), because the front of the away bay will have more kids standing and jumping than there are seats.*

*=pending jumpsuit attendance and unnecessary enforced ticketing.

Thanks mate. I did buy at the back of 32 so hopefully it won’t be too hectic!

Bit the bullet and bought two tix in 53. If it gets to game day and somebody hears of someone who is desperate for two tix in 32, let me know :joy: I’ll take $50 for the two.

I panic-bought bay 54 yesterday also, but right on the aisle between 53 and 54, so probably not much different (I hope) than if I’d waited.

It is possible that they’ve figured out that selling the less appealing bay first results in an overall better outcome (for them), but given that it’s Ticketek, it’s more likely to be incompetence.

Yep more than likely they just forgot to open it up or something.

But away tickets are selling fast as are the rest of the stadium. Both Gosford and the Cake Tin will be sellouts almost certainly. Good times.
