Try watching TV on the central coast… Every ad is about some sort of life insurance
Even though I live in the hills we get the south coast channels better for some reason. Every ad is basically either a new Ute, some water slide park, some horse racing track or some local RSL. Apart from the Ute it actually appeals to me a fair bit haha
I actually had someone say that to me last week about the train/fire thing, I couldn’t believe it was actually coming out of someone’s mouth.
People are fucking idiots.
Took the family circus to Jamberoo on the weekend. That place is still awesome, huge carpark too & not far from the Johnny Warren pub.
When I used to live in Hartley, the aerial was set up in a whacky way, and we ended up with Northern Territory’s version of Channel 9. Let’s just say there were a lot of Government ads tailored to indigenous people to get health checks.
Chuck in a few ads about parks in Alice Springs and Katherine, and that’s pretty much it.
They don’t call it gods waiting room for nothing.
Thankfully that is starting to change with a host of young families in the last 10-15 years as people move north out of the Sydney real estate price zone.
Fucked if I know what use ads for shit in Dubbo are to me.
My debit card is Visa.
My credit card is Mastercard.
My bank is changing my credit card to Visa.
I know in the past you need one or the other to buy tickets to certain events.
Do I care nowadays?
I’ve never had a Mastercard. Only Visa and Amex, you’ll be fine.
As above. Haven’t had a mastercard for years.
Most places accept everything, except for Amex
Which is funny these days because while AMEX used to have much higher merchant fees, they’re now on par with Visa.
Unfortunately to do that Amex gutted their rewards program.
Yep, it’s not that great anymore.
we used to get two free return flights on our Amex. Dropped to two free flights and now it’s $200 towards flights, the arseholes. Only thing half decent is the flybuys.
I get a return domestic flight per year plus a few other perks (travel insurance, lounge access etc.).
I might complain to the council that the reserve hasn’t been mowed.
Im just happy that mowing grass is now an issue. We almost lost half our grass last year (didn’t mow for ages, then mowed, then it got hot and I forgot to water), now it’s coming back like crazy!
I’ve got a fuck ton of waterweed. Half the town has.
People are asking how to get rid of it. I’m like, it’s green!
