Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Zdrilić: The Ufuk Talay Thread

Which will take just as long to arrive as our next premiership.

How do we feel about Wilkinson? There doesn’t seem to be any improvement in communication or organisation in defence through the season. What does he do?

You need defenders for him to coach

Would have him back in the starting XI this week and be infinitely better than any other option we’ve seen there this season.

He’s Head of Football Operations …

I think you’re looking for Masiano - whose coaching record is starting look a bit questionable, imo.

I’d be shocked if we’ve already re-signed Talay. I imagine one of the triggers for a consideration fo an extension is whether we make finals and that’s not locked in yet so I don’t see why the club would extend him.

For what it’s worth I’m pretty sure that he’s going to be re-signed if we make finals because from the club’s perspective they’ve seen us have a good Asian run, retain a top half league position and have some strong off field metrics with attendances.

If we’re stuck with Talay for another season, can we at least get a better assistant coach?

Maybe the club is waiting to see when Ange gets the arse

No victorians thanks

Yes and there’s rumours about Xabi Alonso too.

Maisano already an intruder.

Does this mean Burgess will do a Garath Bale and prick it out in the stands and play golf

He’ll come on in a final and score a blinder

Marco Monteverde has an article up that Talay’s been extended for 2 more years. Apparently this is a transition season.

Couldn’t we just wait and see how he goes next year?

Oh phew!

This whole time I thought it was a real season.

“The strategy has changed. We’re blooding some youngsters, and the club’s made some sales over the past two seasons – it’s a business at the end of the day.

“You still want to be competitive, but at the same time blood some youth and make some sales of players.

“It’s a bit of a balance and we’re still going through that process while we’re still trying to win trophies.”

This is crap from Talay btw.
