Different circumstances, different times.
Different people, different lives.
If we didn’t have a seat on this roller coaster, and just went to the mirror maze in Luna Park, it would be a boring evening in Sydney.

Now he’s bad mouthing the mirror maze…
because it’s way to early to make the call. He’s done better over a few games, but what happens when we come up on a team that is better suited to playing against a high press? What happens further down the track when the games and fatigue start to stack up? What happens next year when Talay gets to recruit who he wants?
Way to many unknowns to be able to make that final call. He may well be better than Corica, but you’re basing that assumption on a very small statistical set
Something we agree on.
Fixed. And well, you’re allowed to say whatever you want. But some of us are going to judge Talay on what he wins. Clearly he’s going in the right direction but he’s got a lot of work to do to match the trophy cabinet of his predecessor.
I like both nice football & winning stuff.
So entitled…
I hope that’s not directed at me.
My point in the post was, football being up and down is exciting. I’ve enjoyed all our managers era’s, including Farina’s.
And i like all the rides at Luna park.
The best thing about Farina era was beating Australia’s Shame 5-0 at the Shitthad Dome.
The rest of it was about as entertaining as stepping in dog poo.
I don’t think Corica ever got to those devastating lows, there were a few moments there where it came close, but nothing to the complete feeling of despair that came on match day.
Some of the final Kogarah days were punishing but that was only partially performance based.
His last derby (our belated first win at home by 3-1) was pretty good fun, even experienced in the small hours in a NY hotel room:
My brother I think you should seek counseling!
^^^ sounds like a guy stretching to explain to his employer why he’s shown up at work reeking of grog.
Ups and downs yes, not being kicked in the balls on a weekly basis (for most of us).
Maybe entertainment, more than enjoyment?
I was right behind the bench about 3 rows back for that. Absolutely glorious.
Just in general, when you miss something and then finally receive it. Food, love, friends, family, football results, it always feels better.
The positives, the few of them, during Franks era gave enjoyment.
His whole Era didn’t and wasn’t entertaining.
This was one of the best derbies ever. And to be fair to your sentiment, a big part of it was because we were otherwise utter shithouse under Farina.
