I am still wondering how the penalty was awarded, looked a mile offside. He missed it anyway.
Seemed like a very open game from the highlights too, fuck all defending being done.
Angola gave it a red hot go against the Netherlands in the handball, it was a great contest all the way through.
Early days, but flicking through events has been pretty easy through Stan so far.
There’s a direct link to the Olympic landing page on the side bar of the Stan home page, and a heap of various ways to navigate between events.
Haven’t watched a heap so far, but looking forward to binging the fuck outta the 'Lymps over the next little bit!

Futsal is a sport that could really do with the additional profile too, whereas Olympic football for men is literally an undercooked youth tournament and for women it’s an undercooked World Cup.
Very TV friendly, very venue friendly, smaller squads, etc. Loads to recommend it for the Olympics.

Personally Beach Soccer should be a Olympic Sport.
It’s a fucking disgrace that we have some of the best beaches in the world, and yet our national beach soccer team is practically non-existant.
Afghanistan has a beach soccer team. They’re a fucking landlocked country.

Ireland came close to a shock win in the QF against Fiji, but in the end Fiji march on.
South Africa, France, Fiji, Australia. Pretty solid final four in the Sevens.
How SA even made it through given they lost their two openers is stupid in itself.
NZ’s opening goal against Canada absolutely wild too.
Crowds seem very, very poor though. French public really not giving a fuck.
