Its all horrible now, and I feel sorry for today's kids... the Music thread

The season where they’re based in Ireland was unnecessary. The IRA link was overdone, when really the wars with the Mayans and the Neo Nazis was all they needed.

I am yet to watch the Mayans spin off, but keen to see if that lives up to the hype.

SOA ended up being murder porn… just everyone murdering every episode

Mayan was a slower burn but very, very good

Do you need to have finished SoA to watch mayans? From memory I stopped watching when they went to Ireland.

The breakdown of the club, the moral and mental breakdown of Jax is what redeemed the show.

The ending was obvious, but still emotional.

No, they are connected but not intertwined… aside from Marcus (from the mayans in SOA) and a few SOA making cameos they don’t overlap story wise at all

Yep… jax was the only thing that really made the final season warranted at all.

Henry Rollins is fantastic in he never died

Sons of Anarchy was shit.

So perhaps you’d describe it as a show thats obnoxious and one dimensional…

Just like the bulk of your posts.

I thought this was the music thread??

Perhaps you want to put me on ignore?

I just remembered about a band I really liked that came in Spotify shuffle about 18 months ago. I listened to them a lot, but not enough to remember their name, or for them to make my wrapped list for the year. All I can remember is the album cover was red, and they may have done some songs in Spanish? They played fast punk/rock n roll/power-pop.

I’ve spent the past hour trying to find them with no luck :disappointed:

That is the worst!

Detecting just a hint of jealousy.

Knocked back from the Commencheros were we?

Dance Gavin Dance have one Spanish song, if you’re thinking of them.

Was not going to post this so as not to appear a grump, but given the artists are able to reject use of dynamic pricing, and they didn’t - good anti-Oasis article from Simon Price. Obviously the 15 year old schoolboy level homophobia is a given but the bit about how plodding their music is was a very good point.

FTR, I don’t mind some of their stuff, and I am happy for all their fans being able to see them now, either after so long or perhaps for the first time ever.

They’re relics from a different time in music. Calling them a “damaging force” is a bit much.
