I mean, there should be consequences for your speech, and “don’t miss” is actually pretty awful. Joke or not it’s an awful thing to say.

I don’t think they should be deported but I can see why some people would be pretty angry at them.

Comments similar to that on here (also in jest) were reasonably but firmly criticised.

I think this joke is much worse than the comments that got my three earlier examples in trouble.

Should’ve punched on with some drunks in Hunter St Mall.

I think it went a bit far. But I find the bleating about how it shouldn’t be allowed from the predictable numpties who supposedly are all about unfettered free speech farking hilarious

Entire tour is can cancelled now

Kevin Rudd has unleashed on Jack Black’s music group Tenacious D stating that a joke made in Sydney by a band member about the near assassination of Donald Trump made him feel “physically ill” and they should “grow up and get a decent job”

A decent job? Only a fan of the arts when it’s not an opportunity to score political points it would seem.

Yeah well he’s not the brightest bulb and little nasty anyway.

Tell that to Samah Sabawi.

I was thinking of going to their show but decided against it, I wish I had now. Could be the last ever Tenacious D show.

Cancel culture isn’t a thing, but I wish it was.

Senator Thorpe has gone fishing and landed the Australian Jewish Association: they’ve condemned her for posting this picture, with a headband which says “I love choccie milk”

It wasn’t just a joke in poor taste.

It was just a tribute.

100% agree. I’m surprised some people are willing to overlook the fact these comments were made only a couple of days after the attempted assassination took place. The timing of the comment was not clever at all.

late to the party but this was satire right?!
