Who’s the hottest coach IN Italy right now?
Gasperini (Atalanta)
Motta (Bologna)
Inzaghi (Inter)
Gonna need pictures to decide who is the hottest
I’d say Motta personally.
Totally agree. Now, he has said officially goodbye to Bologna and Juventus have opened the door for him, I wonder if he will produce quality results in Turin though.
For Bologna in the future, there are a few options in Italy. Claudio Ranieri has said goodbye to Cagliari, not sure if he will hang up his coaching or move in to another club…
Vicenzo Italiano currently at Fiorentina, who has another 13 months left on his contract.
Eusebio Di Francesco currently at Frosinone who managed to remain in Serie A.
And there’s also Maurizio Sarri currently at Lazio.
Xavi announces hes leaving Barcelona at the end of the season. Says nothing will change his mind despite how much Barcelona beg.
Xavi says hes staying at Barcelona.
Two weeks later Barcelona say theyre actually sacking Xavi as they have Hansi Flick lined up.
Wow. That is absolutely shocking treatment of someone who was a legend as a player and did a pretty good job as manager during a difficult financial period for them.
Shocking treatment of him but it’s necessarily the worst time for it to happen given the number of top tier jobs that are out there at the moment.
Unless they’ve already locked Vincent Kompany in you’d imagine that Bayern would be in for him.
Given the relative age of their squad, he could work out well fir Chelsea going on what he did at Barca.
He’d get to start from scratch at Man United with the big reset to their football operations that is going to happen this offseason.
There’s also the possibility of taking over at Bologna for their Champions League campaign if Thiago Motta does move on.
On that I like the big metaphorical fuck you Ten Hag gave to the scummy Man Ure owners by winning the FA Cup.
Kompany to Bayern has to be one of the most head scratching appointments in recent times
It’s certainly interesting though. I’ve always wondered how well Guardiola would go if he went to Barnet or Accrington Stanley or some shit, and had to implement his style within their financial constraints.
Seems Bayern are on a similar train of thinking; Kompanys vision and style didn’t work at Burnley but could at Bayern. A risk, but they tried this season with an established manager and shit the bed on every front.
I think that theres also an understanding that you can’t compete in the EPL as a promoted team especially not one with historical recent stays in the league (Leicester and Southampton should be different this year but maybe not.) Adding to this idea is two promoted managers in McKinna and Maresca are both getting heavily linked to moves away before theyve even started the promoted season.
They’d look at his Anderlecht (Belgian cup runner up) and Burnley championship (Promotion) seasons as places he did well and think he’ll be able to compete with adequate resources. He’s got alot from praise from Pep.
Also hes about their 6th or 7th choice.
I was just surprised, that, with other bigger names available, they seem to have jumped on him so early in the Summer (the champions league hasn’t even concluded yet)
He smashed the championship with Burnley, but no surprise they struggled making the step up. Anderlecht were struggling when he took over after a new owner came in and fucked things up. The first season was a bit dodgy as he was player/manager and was too much, but picked up the next season.
It’s obvious he knows what he’s doing.
Imagine finishing with 99 points, being the best attack in the league, only losing once…but coming second
In another interesting appointment, Chelsea sound like theyre now settling on Maresca.
Red Bull just bought a minority stake in Leeds United. Will become their next front of shirt sponsor, however confirmed there won’t be a name change
And now Jose Mourinho to Fenerbahce
