Two great tests underway at the moment
England v India is exactly even heading into day 4 while West Indies restrict Australia to 225 but lose an early wicket in the day nighter (where Lyon was dropped for boland)

And to add to the drama both of West Indies listed opened werent at the ground and had gone for scans. They opened with a #4 on his second test and a debutant who normally bats 3
Goodbye Sammy K, we hardly knew you
It might be a good idea if he makes some more runs at first class level before coming back to the international scene.
The only thing is his favour is that all of the other bats are struggling in the Caribbean as well, but yeah some shield runs to get his confidence up again would be good otherwise I can’t see him getting picked for the first Ashes test
Listening to the cricket while working on a Monday morning is great. The ABC boffins think we should still go with Usman in the Ashes. I’m not so sure about that
If not him, the who?
Kostas doesn’t appear to be growing in confidence - who else can they have anchor the innings but Usman?
Carl Hooper makes sense at least to me. He said pick the best 2 openers from shield cricket. Marnus at 3, Smith at 4, Head at 5 and Green at 6……hoping Marnus gets some shield runs I guess first
It’s Renshaw time!
The pitches continue to be dogshit. The curators need to learn how to make something that’s not either a minefield or dead dustbowl.
Yeah but did you know he can ramp?
It’s so good to watch though. Obviously no practical way to do it, but I’d prefer to watch each team have 3 innings of 200 each than 2 of 450 each.
Starc in full pink ball beast mode
Outstanding stuff, welcome Starc to the 400 club.
I just tuned in, I saw the scoreboard at 7/5. Obviously my Aussie brain read it as 7 wickets for 5 runs, but it was 5 wickets for 7 runs.
Question is… Why do we use a different format to the rest of the world? I’ve never really thought about before tbh.
Is a there a reason why we write 5/250 instead of 250/5, for example? Historical?
It’s annoying that everyone who uses runs/wickets for the score also uses wickets/runs for bowling figures.
This is a ridiculously impressive bowling performance, especially considering the number of dropped catches
Hat trick now for Boland
Can this guy’s cricketing story get any better?
