Depends if we’ve disowned Khawaja. As an aside that stuff with his brother is ultimate stranger than fiction, couldn’t make it up.

This is fucking pathetic.
Skull is dead right: “6/105 is a lamer joke than I can come up with.”
Both Marsh boys fail (although they are not alone) like they always fucking do, but they keep getting selected. What do they expect will happen?
Problem is the same four bowlers can’t go round and round so you need someone who can bowl reliably for 20+ overs a match. Are there better all-rounders in Australia than Mitch Marsh? The state cricket aficionados will be able to answer that better than me.
As much as I want the Marshes to be dropped, I’d be just as worried about the purely moronic batting shown by Finch, Harris and Head in particular. Those three in particular had ugly dismissals earlier. Its like we’re chasing 200 to win in the final session, rather than trying to subdue India, who have a big lead and are bowling well.
Australia all out. India not enforcing the follow-on. If they fail to do much with the ball in the last session, this will go down as one of the worst days of Test cricket by Australia in living memory.
We should be saving our quicks and bowling the marshes every over until they inevitably declare.
Pat Cummins is fast becoming my favourite player in this team.
He was part of the commentary team for the Australia v NZ Women’s T20 Series earlier in the season, seemed to have a good rapport with the other commentators, knowledge of the women’s game and an all round genuine interest in the sport as a whole.
He’s bowled pretty well all series, though overshadowed by Lyon for good reason.
Helps that he’s a New South Welshman too.
If the team was 11 Cummins and Lyons we’d be alright
So five and a half sessions to save the test. Odds on finch and harris both out swinging?
Finch out being moronic
1 out of 2.
I know the word is just about taboo around here these days, but Finch is such a tard.
And Marsh goes for little but Shaun made some start which the selectors would say is good.
This team is a mess and the second test made us look like world beaters and the selectors fell for it
Marsh M. and Finch never to be picked again at this stage, surely
Can someone phone Rodney and Geoff?
Can we add Head to that list? These idiots had a front row seat for 2 days on how to be patient and build an innings, then you go and get out flailing at something 1m+ outside off that should be left all day long.
Khawaja pulling out the reverse sweep also did my head in, this ain’t the Big Bash lads.
Khawaja pulling out the reverse sweep is fine, everyone said he had to go away and rethink how he plays spin, he did it, and the reverse sweep is a huge part of his more successful recent approach. He scored runs for fun with it in the UAE.
Bloody Victorians. Can’t even get the weather right
Amazed we made stumps. Pray for rain.
So lets put things in perspective here. Pat Cummins, with the ball, has 3/72 and 6/27 (so 9/99 for the match). With the bat, he’s also scored 17 (only 5 off top score in 1st inns) and 60 not out so far in the 2nd inns. What else does he need to do to get Man of the Match, frankly? He’s pretty much taking them on all on his own.
PS: Why was Pant talked to in regards to his sledge against Paine? I thought it was brilliant. Are only the Aussies allowed to engage in banter or something?
That Pant sledge was hilarious. I’ve loved the fun of the Paine pant sledging. All good natured and good laughs
Cummins has had a blinder. He’s a special special player. But this is looking like another if only the top order maybe another 70 or so
