Audi and VCARB are the only two teams with a spot on their roster left

No seats.

Red Bull need to put Lawson in a seat or lose him. The other three drivers are contracted.

Audi looks to be sticking with Bottas.

And I’ve no issue with Ricciardo being pitted purely to chase the fastest lap. And I’m a McLaren fan who hates Red Bull.

And I am once again reminded why i dislike Red Bull.

Look, we all knew it was coming. We all understand the reasoning, but once again Red Bull have handled the dismissal of a driver in a horrible manner.

I used to really like them, but now I cannot stand them.

Poor DR. Really shit the bed by going to Renault and then McLaren (outside of getting paaaaaid).

Should be no surprise. Similarly crappy treatment to the then #1 driver in 2018 by RBR was why he left.

Personally think the Renault move in 2019 was the right one, even if the team went backwards, it was the decision to go to McLaren in 2021 which had a car that wasn’t Ric friendly that was the problem.

Remember 2019 and 2020 were still Mercedes dominated, and had Dan stayed I suspect the Max favouritism would have grown and Dan would have got more and more frustrated (as happened at McLaren) and probably been forced out or left before the car came good in 2021.

Reportedly Dan was in consideration for the Ferrari seat in 2021 that ultimately went to Sainz. Maybe that would have been a different story.

It’s Red Bull Racing once again showing how ruthless they are. They’d even cut Max in a second if he no longer served their interests.

This is pretty cool.

Amazing.
Diferent world. Awesome vehicle.

Cool seeing the track as it used to be, before the reconfiguration of tertre rouge and the mulsanne straight as it used to be.

And good lord, the D-Type Jaguar was a stunning vehicle.

I just like it cause I’m finding it hard to nail Mulsanne Curve in GT5 cause the game doesn’t quite convey to me how sharp the corner is!

I get the feeling Mulsanne Corner was opened up at some point. It looks ridiculously tight in its original form.

This thing has airbrakes! I believe this is the lap record.

I think it’s just added downforce as opposed to air brakes. They were still up at some points while accelerating at 200km/h+.

Pretty cool though.

Typically don’t want the v8s but always tune in for a bit of Bathurst.

Not disappointed with multiple Ricky Bobby references within 5 mins of turning qualifying on.

Having looked at the incidents between Verstappen and Norris in the US GP, the stewards have a lot to answer for. How Verstappen got no penalty for either move, and Russell got one for his, is a mystery.

Didn’t seem to be any consistency in any of those decisions across the whole weekend.

An interesting insight into Verstappen’s “attacking defensive” driving:

Max once again being clever, knowing the rules and showing where they need changing. He’s a great driver (obviously). At what point though has Norris overtaken him prior to the corner, meaning Verstappen is obliged to leave him space?

Also, the reliability this season is so disappointing. In years/decades past, Verstappen probably would’ve had a dnf or 2 to come, making a reasonable chance Norris could catch him. Just doesn’t seem like that anymore, probably cos they tyre manage rather than push the limits. Norris doesn’t have the performance advantage to catch him. Tldr I want to see more engines blow up.

We have that lovely “three engines per 24 race weekend season” rule to thank for engine reliability. Engines are made with longevity in mind now. Long gone are the days that engines are thrown out every race weekend.

Piastri and Perez are both out in Q1 in Mexico
