Someone please tell me if I’m just doing it wrong but the chicken at Frangos at Bella Vista was average at best and the sides were overpriced and bland. The mountain of chips didn’t make up for the lack of flavour. Also, the word Frango reminds me of contraception.

^^^ never ceases to amaze how busy that place is, given it’s in a commercial area that’s deserted from 5pm daily. Missus is mad for it, it’s OK, but never worth the 15-20 minute wait for a chicken burger and said mountain of chips.
We ended up there because its a short drive from a Hills United game and because it is trading under the Frangos reputation. The feeling I got was that there are some church/ social / sporting groups that head there after their respective meetings. Also, youre right, the Hills outside of the major shopping centres are a wasteland after 5pm so I guess hanging out at an industrial area for chicken and chips is a legitimate thing.
You’ve nailed it. Close to Hillsong and various sporting fields incl. Castle Hill indoor and Bernie Mullane (synthetic). It’s always packed with 20 somethings after their weeknight games.
The only Ogalo I’ve ever eaten at is the one next to Shark Hotel in the city at like midnight or 2am or something, and I intend to keep it that way.
Same for me, Ogaolo for me is always after a late night piss up. Hits the spot ok but probably prefer Oportos
The only thing that’s gone to shit harder than the Ogalo’s store next to Shark is its customers after eating there.
The Frangos in Concord wasn’t too bad when I went there
The best chicken in Sydney is the chicken I roast in my own oven every Friday night. It’s become a bit of an end of the week tradition.
