Kogarah needs a fair bit of sprucing up, but nights like tonight build a decent case for it.

Put some more seats on the hill and away end and have every game there. Couldn’t make it unfortunately tonight but looked amazing on tv and when it gets loud it may not be Allianz loud, but still impressive.
I don’t want to be based at Kogarah permanently, but that might just be selfish of me as I think the pre and post match bar and restaurant offerings are as important as the match itself - makes an event of it.
Kogarah will never have that big match event feel, nor Leichhardt. It’s good for Sunday arvo games, but not Saturday night games. I’d be happy with 3-5 games a year there and 9-11 at Moore Park.
Not enough of a roof for it to be a permanent option.
85th minute Forza Sydney FC was all time. Never heard Kogarah that loud.
I would have no complaints with Kogarah being a long term home ground for us. Yeah, maybe play a grand final at the new Allianz, but even then I’d say fuck it.
I’m coming around to loving Kogarah but you still run the risk of getting 5k on a rainy day.
Yeah, but we’ll get that regardless of the location, roof or not.
Take away any of your own preferences for entertainment etc, and the fact that Kogarah has turned out to be a credible option gives us fantastic leverage when the SFS design threatens to go too far away from what we need.
Good point, we’ve done far better out of our time away than I thought we possibly could. I still prefer everything about the game at Leichhardt, but realise most people would prefer to be sitting down and need to take the car for the kids - this is much less comfortable there than Kogarah. How are the Roosters and Waratahs going without the SFS, anyone know?
Edit: miss-spelled a word
Kogarah is still shit
The Kogarah debate seems as 50/50 as the Frango’s and Silva’s debate.
Frangos is way better, and cheaper.
But the staff treat you like shit, and it’s an awful place to have to wait for takeaway.
So as long as you’re prepared for that, it’s the better option.
We stay at Kogarah and we’d need to change the words of some songs. Too difficult
Moore park is our home.
Anyone that thinks PCC is Frangos shouldn’t be allowed to participate in the debate.
Any ‘Sydney’ club that plays out of Kogarah instantly becomes smaller than any club that plays at Moore Park. The real solution is to grow crowds to average more than 20k.
I think long-term Moore Park will obviously be our home. But low drawing games like any Wellington game should go to Kogarah.
I’d only consider Kogarah if there was substantial redevelopment to upgrade The Cove end and a simple new grandstand for the hill.
Whilst it’s easy to be swayed by 10-12k crowds at Kogarah as the ideal solution, we shouldn’t be forgetting those epic nights at SFS against WSW/MV when the place was rocking.
Anybody have or know anyone with a spare $150mil to go for our own simplified/boutique version of the new SFS?
Yeah I’m leaning to this as well. SFS as standard, but all FFA Cup games and maybe ACL too at Kogarah.
17,500 at SFS would have been MUCH louder and more intense than yesterday at Kogarah. The call and response works better too. That said, yes to Kogarah for ACL and FFA cup rounds but looking forward to returning to SFS amid three years of much better HAL marketing.
