We all like fried chicken - the MLS thread

Salt Lake v Seattle.
Looks like Seattle dominated for most of the game, without troubling the scorer…

Dominated doesn’t do it justice! Wasn’t it about 18 shots to zero?

Over 20 shots vs 0 from RSL. It was incredible viewing and these playoffs have been great so far. The 120+3 winner from Philly the last week was awesome scenes.

The last 5 minutes of this morning’s game was also pretty hectic

MLS continues to deliver the most batshit playoffs. Real Salt lake with a stoppage time winner away and continue their crazy fairy tale run, Nashville failed to score in all 4 penalties in their shootout and the Revs who broke a host of records in their total domination of the league go out in penalties to NYCFC after pulling it back to 2-2 with only minutes left in the second period of extra time. Mental stuff.

Hope the conference finals over the weekend continue the insanity as this is peak entertainment.

Finals football WORKS.

It does, it’s just fucking stupid to do it immediately on the back of an international break. Then give the top seeds (Revs and Rapids) an extra week to sit idle, it’s no wonder they both went out at the first hurdle.

The commentators were banging on about the huge advantage the extra time off was.
New England looked flat for most of the game and were lucky to drag it out to pens.
Fuck NY.

This MLS cup final is fantastic entertainment

This is great social media content, would much prefer a fridge magnet for reference though.

That’s mental

Loved this. It’s no Marvin though.

So pumped for Charlotte FC upcoming first season! Couldn’t afford a season ticket but will be there for the home opener. Love the moves we have made so far.

How much was a season ticket going for?

The draw last season was a mess with most teams in the same conference playing each other 3 times. I really thought once Charlotte came in they’d settle on a 40 game season, 14 teams in each conference now so each of them home and away is 26, then play each team from the other conference once (7 home, 7 away, draw however). Instead they’re staying with 34 regular season games so the draw is uneven and they don’t play everyone.

They have to leave space in the calendar so the MNT can play Mexico 42 times a year.

Almost 3k usd plus you had to buy a personal seat license for an additional 900. Heck with that

I find that odd also; would make sense to play everybody at least once. And as far as eastern teams playing western teams, just alternate to home and away on a season by season basis. Simple.

Jesus, that’s ridiculous.
