Where are they now?

He wasn’t even born the last time this nickname was used.

It was used just 5hrs ago!

I do ask thou, what is the underlying position of WSW’s opposition to us?

Their own insecurity?

SFC founded 2004, Mathews born 2005. It was definitely in use when he was a kid. Last time it was properly used was in the ADP era

Matthews going ok

For anyone not watching the pre game show tonight for the Melb Derby, they had Brattan on as a guest, asked what his favourite trophy win was, and he said the win with Sydney in 2020 at Commbank because “Not many trophies get won there”.

Meant it as it sounded too, next sentence was about winning at the enemies home.

Mathews played the full game in their win 2-1 against QPR this morning.

9 points clear of the relegation zone on the back of 3 straight wins!

he got a pretty good rating on Fotmob of 7.2

Remember clearly him getting an intense earbashing from ADP in one match.

I could be wrong but maybe Hayden Matthews is a really good CB when the coach doesn’t ask him to defend 70m up the pitch?

I wonder if that was the same game as when ADP took a throw-in right next to the opposition corner flag down the line to Warren, then Warren played it first time back to him. His expression was absolutely priceless!

Funny that in the same team he had room to love Abbas so much but despise Warren.

Did Ali have an on pitch disagreement with ADP early on which seemed to win respect? Got a very hazy memory of something happening between the two.

Thats right, they had the arms around shoulders best mates big grins/ jokingly clenching fists dressing room pic after.

I’m in Camp Ali.

Seeing pretty positive reactions from Pompey fans so far. But also that he was injured during the game. Hopefully it’s nothing serious

Pompey defender Hayden Matthews left the ground on crutches with his right leg in a protective boot

QPR probably demanded it worried that he’d stop them getting on the bus as well.
